My name is Kris Fretwell and i have been around dogs since i was little and come to love them! I have just got my own place and it feels empty with no-one around so i want to find a local breeder of doberman (Must be pedigree with papers)
The reason i have chosen the Pinscher Doberman is because my uncle has 4 of them and they were the first dogs i was ever introduced to and that is why my decision is final! If someone could please give me some information on where to get one and price range because i have heard all sorts of different prices ranging from £100-£900 so that would clear things up alot.

Thanks and lookin foward to speakin to you all. Kris

I think you will be looking at something like £700 plus for a well bred pup from health tested parents.  Contact the bred club secretaries and they can advise on this and other matters.

If you have had problems with a  breeder you should take it up with the breed club (if she is a member).  Even if they are not they can warn other potential owners of an unreliable person breedign their breed.

German Pinscher Club. Sec. Mrs I Legett. Tel No: 01292 477857 website: http://www.germanpinscher.org.uk/

It is not appropriate to make unsubstantiated claims on a public forum I am afraid as the laws of libel apply to the internet.

If you have documentary evidence then please send it to the Kennel club,a nd breed club that the papers were promised and not forthcoming.

Also if pups advertised as KC registered then Trading standards can help.

When admin catch up with the post the name of the person will ahve to be removed.

Hope you understand the reasons for this.  I hope you get satisfaction with your issue.

Oh dear Smartbags123. It looks like you've found your breeder then? Brainless has given you some positive advice, so try to push your anger that way if you can and it'll be a lot more productive than ranting on here. We are all with you and will support you in your efforts, but we can only support as none of us needs any bad press in our chosen breeds.
Good luck in you endevers.

My dobe breeder was, well how can I be polite - shocking!

Didn't do enough research and we were too 'naive'.

Really had to pester them for the KC papers, my vet was livid at the poor state of his tail - not properly docked, done on the joint not in between, apparently.

Had more than one or 2 issues with him as a pup (and still now) and when we called them for advice, they were nothing short of terrible!
