Hiya I was wondering if anybody can help me find a black or chocolate labrador pup in the Anglia-London-South East area, that will be ready to move homes, the week beginning 10th December 2007 or afterwards? I would prefer a bitch and a KC accredited breeder is a must. (NB my pup will most certainly NOT be for Christmas, I have my 4th year vet exams coming up and will not have time for my pup before this week). Thanks for everyones time,

Check with the breed clubs -but please be aware there are plenty of good breeders that are NOT KC accredited as many do not believe in the scheme, and likewise there are plenty of Accredited breeders that aren't necessarily all that good.....

Thank you very much! I will definitely look further afield then. I wasn't sure if that was the case with the scheme. Will the breed clubs also have details of other breeders not necessarily KC accredited but "approved by the club" if such thing exists! I just know how much time choosing a pup takes and don't want to waste any time stumbling across bad breeders or even puppy farm type places!

I second MarianneB's comment about KC accredited breeders!  Some of us choose not to join - mainly because we do far more than the KC demand, and we certainly don't need their help to sell our puppies when we breed

If you contact the breed clubs, they will be able to put you in touch with breeders who abide by the clubs' codes of ethics.  Good luck in your search
