hi, im looking for a border collie pup/breeders in cheshire/north warrington area

i already have 2 collie which are retired from agility, i also have  aspringer x collie - but would like to be able to have two competing at once.  So this is pup is no way a pet, loved family member but i believe being a border collie they need a job to do..

My favourite colours are the traditional black and white (that would be why all 3 of our dogs are black and white!!) - but i would like to hear from breeders who have merles too..

oh, must be papered, and all relevant heath checks done on the parents etc

There are lots of good border collie breeders in the However why limit yourself to the area in which you live ? My new puppy's breeder lives near me but even if she lived 100's of miles away I would still go to her for a puppy, my BC boy came from Cornwall & I live in Yorkshire !

i dont mind if they deliver a pup - i  know there are plenty of pups round here but i want one pedigree etc....

ive seen some in scotland, and hopefully they would deliver, i have a horse who at the moment i cant leave to go a few days travel for  adog! -well at lest overnight, so need something i can travel within a few hours!...

Good breeders don't deliver puppies to someone they haven't met before or know well.

All my dogs are KC reg Jessie was my first KC only registered BC all the rest have been ISDS registered, my puppy is KC reg also(well he is Jessie's little brother)

just toadd - what if i wanted a dog from somewhere in scotland where they had to fly the dog over to me?? and i really wanted that dog from that parent etc?? of course good breeders deliver pups,, i think thats quite a statement tbh!!!!

anyhow - back to my original thread,,,,   and good breeders ..........

Well I wouldn't deliver a puppy without knowing the person & having met them. My puppy's breeder wouldn't either. If I wanted a puppy from Scotland I would go & at least see the puppies before buying one. If I couldn't do that I wouldn't have one of the puppies

sorry, I wholeheartedly agree with MM.. no decent responsible breeder would deliver a pup, to any person unseen, not come to visit pups and mum... and without homechecks being done... Yes.. I have delivered a pup to its home... but the owner had been on my waiting list for nearly a year... we had become friends.. and I wanted to see pup settled in.... other than that... never...

on the other hand... I have MADE prospective purchasers travel to meet me, pups and mum and then told them I didnt feel the would be  suitable owners for my pups

I would NEVER take a pup from a breeder without going to visit it myself... even from a breeder I already have a pup in the past.. In fact two of my boys came fromsame breeder, and when I said I wanted a pup from x mating... even though we see each other occassionally at shows, and had waited 18months onthe mating.. she insisted that I make the 700mile round trip to view the litter...

To be honest you'd be expected to travel to collect the pup yourself.

I don't know of a single reputable breeder who'd sell a pup - within the country - to someone they'd never met. Even when exporting a puppy, the buyers have often spent some months or years travelling to various countries to assess the stock available and meet the breeders.

Wukee's brother Coffee is going to the Netherlands. His new owner has been not once not twice but three times to see the puppies & once before the puppies were born. So it will be on the 5th visit that they will collecting him
