It is just over a year since my last dog died aged 13 years. He was a Liver and White English Springer Spaniel Show Dog from the Mortondawn pedigree line. Bought in the New Forrest Nov 1993. A prince among dogs.
We are now looking for a new Liver and White English Springer Spaniel Pup with a Show pedigree. Preferably in the South West, however am prepared to travel within reason.
Faithful and true to the last beat of his heart.
Hi
I agree with Starryeyes the Southern ESS website has a good register for both puppies and older dogs. Are you looking for a dog "to show" or a show type ESS to own as a pet?
Mortondawn is a blast from the past as far as I'm aware they haven't bred since the late 90's however if you want something similar I may be able to help by tracing the lines down to the active ESS Kennels.
If you PM me I can help further.
Cheers
Vicky
The latest details I can find for the Mortondawn kennels is:-
Mrs George 01425 672566
Not sure if this is current though

Thanks,
It was Mrs George who sold us our dog. We lost her contact details and have found nothing on any web site referring to Mortondawn(in the UK) or Mrs George.
We are looking for a Springer Spaniel Show Dog as a pet.
I would appreciate any help in finding a suitable male puppy.

I am sure the breder of yoru boy if no longer active will knwo who is still usign thsoe bloodlines adn you may be able to get a dog from the same family lines as yoru old boy.
Barbara and the Grey Curly Tails.
Have tried ringing number given but it is not recognised. Mrs George was, as I remember quite an elderly Lady in 1993. Her dogs were of perfect temperament so finding similar is important for us.

Hi D.S.
You will find to most decent show breeders temperament is of paramount importance so finding a suitable boy shouldn't be an issue if you look in the right places and don't buy a puppy from a back yard breeder.
It them comes down to which type you like. If you take a look on the Southern website and follow a few links you can see details of some of the UK ESS kennels all of which give a great deal of time and thought to breeding. Not to mention all the relevant health checks etc..
PM me if you need any further help as I know of a few people who currently have litters.
Regards
Vicky
go on the english springer spaniel club ,but mostly show-bred depends on what type you are looking for there are also breeders on this site at champdogs
Would you consider a rescue ESS? Look on the NESSR website for some lovelies.
Still waiting to get my special friend.

Mrs Mickie George passed away last year I believe.. Your best bet is the Southern website as previously mentioned...
We all take the best dog home.....
