We are looking for a breeder of English Springer Spaniel Puppies (Preferabley KC reg)
We live in lancashie and are looking in this area and the surrounding areas
We would like a liver and white, preferably a bitch
With a good family tempermant from parents
We would want to see at least the mother if not both parents.
We are looking for the shorter well built dog (working Build)
preferable docked tailed

If anyone know's, has or expecting puppies like this please let us know

Are you using it as a working dog? You would need to prove so if the dog is to be docked as it is now illegal unless for working purposes.

If you go onto the ESS club website, or the Southern ESS website you can see details of people who have litters available.  Mostly these are show type, however!

Please be VERY careful in choosing a working type ESS, especially if you have not owned the breed before.  If you look at rescue 90% are working type ESS and there is a reason for this.

After a great deal of advice just recieved i think we are looking at show rather than working

my partner has owned working ess all his life and both he and i agree that there is nothing wrong with this breed at all she wasnt hyper active like people try to make out at the end of the day it comes down to how you bring them up

I agree there is nothing wrong with working type ESS.

However from the experience of owning both working and show type I would say in my experience the show type are much more laid back and fit into family life better than working type.

I agree the upbringing is of paramount importance to ANY puppy.

It's really like owning a Ferrari when you only drive to Church once a week and the occasional shopping trip.  A working bred dog will be too much dog for the average family lifestyle.
