I have a very fussy 8 month old, I tend to feed JWB to my bunch, But she's not having it anymore, totally bored of it!!  We then gave her hills, iams, royal canine and skinners, ohhh and beta - she just walks straight past the bowl, I have tried mixing scrambled eggs, tripe, tinned food, fresh meats, cottage cheese, extra virgin oil, gravy - you name it she's probably given it a whirl, she just licks off the tasty extra and leaves the kibble, anyhow a friend recommended me trying her on pedigree chicken and rice complete. And guess what? She's Loving it. Result!! I feel like a rather large weight has been lifted, I am a worrier! I can now rest happy knowing she has a full tummy

If it's a cavalier be prepared to look for the next 'big thing'. The little blighters are a law unto themselves. Been there got the tee-shirt.

Tooolz, thanks for your reply, not a cavalier, but same sort of size, she's been wolfing it down now for over two weeks, so heres hoping she has found something she enjoys and works well with her, i am surprised as i dont normally like pedigree food!

Not Toolz but I do have Cavaliers

Vets & Joe Public usually see cavaliers as eating machines, actually they are not & can be very picky if allowed to get away with it. I learnt very early on with my Beardies(the bitches can be very picky at times)not to keep chopping & changing & if it isn't eaten then pick it up & no more food until the next meal is due. No dog will starve itself to death & eventually they learnt it is eat what you are given or don't eat at all.

Some lines of cavaliers are notorious for being practically anorexic as pups ....not to the point of starving themselves to death but eating just enough to keep body and soul together.
This feeding issue only becomes a real problem if you want to show the little darling and no anorexic sufferer looks pretty. In show critiques it's not uncommon for judges to suggest that the skinny ones be kept at home "until they stop looking at food as if it were poison"
The good news is that they grow out of it usually and often go on to swinging the other way entirely....they live for their food.
