Oh dear I hadn't realised what a boring life my poor dog lives.  I had to forgo agility again this weekend despite a lovely sunny day for a change.  My Mum and sister came down for a couple of nights and although I dropped lots of hints that it was my class and what a lovely day it is for taking the dog out my sister was interested in shopping (which there was no time for either) and my Mum wanted to see grandchildren and great grandchildren naturally.  So I was cooking and waiting on family instead.  It was a nice weekend really and I shouldn't complain.  Meg had lots of attention from everyone.  This weekend if we are lucky it is class on sat and a friendly home competition on sun - our first!!  So maybe I will have something positive to blog next week -

Just to add that home friendly is also cancelled!!  The first actual competition I am entered for is at the end of Feb.  I can't see myself getting up at 6 on a sunday morning to arrive at the competition at 8 - that is just too early. It is going to be nerve racking trying to remember everything I should be doing.
This weather is again atrocious - was woken last night by Meg creeping into our bedroom - she didn't like the noisy wind.  She was licking her lips like mad - I have read Turid Rugas (thanks to HG) so know she must have been pretty anxious trying to calm herself down.  After taking her down to the half landing (her normal boundary) several times I gave up and went back to sleep.

She is a farm bred dog - from Crickhowell.  Rather nervous and excitable I am afraid but a promising dog for agility - she really wants to work and she is focussing on me far better now that I am getting the hang of it.  I just need to slow her down.  I bet she would be a winner at flyball!    I would really like to do a bit of obedience with her - but once a week agility which is local is about all I seem to find time for.  I must get some more pictures on flicker - Flynn looks a beautiful dog.
