Hello i'm Ruth and im in the NE and i am after some sound advice on how to purchase a boxer puppy. This will be the 2nd time i will be a dog owner (the first time i cant really say i was a full dog owner as we got a jack russell dog and i was only 12- she is still alive today and living with the parents!) i now have my own house with a garden and want to know how i can purchase a dog and what prices should i be looking at- i dont want to get ripped off by going to any ad that i see and i thought the best way to go was by putting my details here and getting some good friendly advice! After all a dog is is for life and i want a dog that i can show! let me know! thanks Ruth

i'm sure someone who is much better than me at doing links will be along in a bit, but a couple of things to make sure of when you are looking for a puupy are to make sure both parents have had all of the relevant helth tests for the breed, and also that their health test scores are well within the normal range for the breed.

Also, try to contact the breed club as well, they may be able to point you in the direction of reputable breeders and will be able to advise on what helth test should be carried out.
