Tomorrow is the big day - our first competition.  I have had 2 terrible classes where I couldn't do anything right last week and this.  I can't believe I have put in for a competition - I am going to make a fool of myself tomorrow - I have been rubbish the last two weeks.  Not that I am worried about making a fool of myself - there will only be a couple of people there who know me - but I have to make it a good experience for Meg and not get her upset too.

Well I got there early - didn't oversleep.  Mud mud mud!!   We did 4 rounds and got eliminated in everyone.  However I think Meg enjoyed it and behaved herself amongst so many other dogs.  Only thing that was really embarrassing was that she jumped up on everyone - a number of people have gone home with muddy paw marks on their backs!  She even managed to queue and during the last run she sat waiting when we were on next and  only barked once - she has been very good in that department.  First round was stop and go - she completed the contacts without fault!  Then she hiked off down the speed part and started heading back to the contacts so spoilt it.  Second round she ducked under the first jump to get on the dogwalk quicker - eliminated first jump.  Third round had a complicated start - she got it then it all went off the rails at a simple corner.  Fourth round she ducked under the first jump again.  I left in darkness and returned in darkness but all in all it wasn't as bad as I thought.  Learnt a lot.   Heard some people saying what a good dog she is - oh well lots of work to do on my part.
