My dog started vomiting three days ago. Her food was whole in the vomit and then she began to throw up green slime. After that, she wouldn't eat. She hasn't eaten for seven days. I took her to the vet. She is clear of diseases and parasites. She is in perfect condition besides the fact that she is skinny. She lost 9 lbs in one week. What is wrong with my dog and how can I get her to eat? She is usually hyper, but she's more mellowed out. Please someone help me.

You need to take her to a different vet ASAP.

I agree, dogs don't eat for no reason, 9 lb's is an horrendous amount for your dog to loose, is she drinking?

If she will drink liquidize her food with lots of water or goats milk, she absolutely needs to be receiving some sort of veterinary aid and possibly any time now needs to be on a drip to subsidize her food and weight loss, you are going to end up with a dead dog, (sorry but no point in beating about the bush) if she does not have the problem pin pointed soon, she is obviously ill, dogs don't stop eating and loose masses of weight for fun.

I agree another vet with some way to get food into her via drip or liquid.

Get a second opinion NOW There could be a blockage somewhere that is causing this. I can't believe your vet let her go home.

Hi, I have an 11 month old boxer, a couple of weeks after New Year, he started being sick at night, it looked like all his biscuit gone into mush, he then stopped eating and drinking and then when he was sick it was bile, he also went from being boisterous to very lethargic and looked very depressed, he was diagnosed with Pancreatitus, he was hospitalised for a few days and put on an IV, he came home, and seemed so so, but he wasn't right, and within two weeks he was back in hospital with the same thing and colitis he was in for approx 5 days, he was really very poorly and when he came home again he was skin and bone bless him, that was four weeks ago, just when we thought he had turned a corner, he was back in at the beginning of the week, but it was just a flare up this time.  I would be tempted to try a different vet.

what are you feeding them with?
give the dog water only for 12 hours when vomiting- keep a close eye.

whats in the vomit? any bots of plastic from toys?  grass?
take the dog where it can eat grass.. dogs only like certain grass though the stuff you can whistle withl lol. ok im not a grass geek.
do you give them raw hide?  bones?

when were they last wormed at a vet ?
