quick question, i am showing tomorrow and dont know whether i ought to wear a jacket or if its ok just to be semi casual but smart.
i have bought a new suits for shows this year but now unsure and thinks i should stick to what i normally wear - this is smart trousers, blouse and jumper but no jacket.
obviously the dog on show is the most important one but dont want to let her down by not looking the part.
what do others wear at such a huge event as crufts?
thanks

I wore black skinny jeans, blouse and a tank top.
I think as long as you compliment your dog and look smart it doesnt really matter.
1.5lb this week total 5.5lb - slowly but surely im getting there !!
This is something I can never understand, people spend hrs getting their dogs ready , grooming, bathing... making them shine, pristine, so they look fabulous in the ring...but then turn up in in jeans. t/shirts and the like.
OK, you dont have to go over board...what ever is comfortable, but what happened to "smart" nothing worse (in my opinion) then a stunningly turned out dog, with a scruff of a handler.
I also think some breeds are worse than others....my own included!
Must admit the overseas handlers on the tv tonight looked very smart. The young girl with the Australian Shepherd looked good also the lady with the Cardigan corgi. The dogs do look so much better with nicley turned out owners/handlers.

I wear trouser suits to open shows, so as and when I get to show my Spanish at Crufts I will be wearing just the same!
My dogs aren't my whole life, but my life wouldn't be whole without them. 05/01/08 11 stone 12 lbs
I think it's nice to see the handlers looking smart
I'm in a dilemma over what to wear for a champ show, at open shows I tend to wear combat style trousers, smart/casual...but I think I should smarten up for a champ show, but I don't possess a trouser suit as such......I shall have a rumage in my wardrobe....

ooh that sounds very posh!!

Regardless of what is worn on the outside - make sure you have supportive underwear on. Heaving jiggling boobs detract from the dog - strap'em down!
ali - with a staffy not a chow, but very cheeky!

OH ....to be blessed with heaving jiggling boobs!!!
French Kisses are the Best !!!
my thoughts exactly Killickchick.....**sigh**

Oh I don't know some judges dont seem to mind!!

lol Archiebongo, maybe the judge is getting his/her kicks but the sight of saggy boobs all over the place is really offputting when you are trying to look at the dog.

The owner /handler of best of breed in my breed, had a very inappropriate top on..her boobs where falling out of her top, When she was running round the ring...noticed she changed her top before she went into the group class in the evening LOL!!
well in the end i didnt wear said new suit and wore my normal smart outfit with a new pair of shoes!
worked well as we got 2nd in our class!

I wear a sports bra when I show as I totally agree, I always end up noticing jiggling boobs when the handlers are running!! My OH commented on one of the handlers boobs as we were watching crufts tonight. I thought all the exhibitors tonight looked really smart, I agree with what was said before, exhibitors put so much effort into their dogs then wear a scruffy outfit themselves - it seems ridiculous to me!
Without wanting to hijack the thread, does anyone know of any particular shops that sell coloured jackets suitable for showing? I'm after pink or blue

I always wear a trouser suit to crufts (try to make an effort

). This year it was pink.
In my breed the dress code is very casual.
