And many congats to Doug and Sharon for Carlos going to G2 in working last night, you must be so proud, he went beutifully.

Well no prizes for guessing who I am rooting for being a Samoyed fan!! On the other hand, I don't want the Sam to become the "must-have" dog. It's so exciting though to have someone you know in the run-up for BIS - come on Lisa & Mioni!!! :-)

Edited to say: Thought Carlos the Newf was beautiful, I love Phillipe as well but would've given group 1 to the Newf myself, I thought he looked stunning.

I loved the Samoyed, but I have to say I think Phillipe Olivier 'deserves it' - he is the ultimate show dog, it's the only thing that's eluded him, and I'd like to see him perform well and get the nod tonight.

So, my vote (given group winners so far) is Giant Schnauzer BIS, Samoyed RBIS.

I would love to see Phillipe Olivier (Giant Schnauzer) get it.....
A lovely dog with a genuinely nice owner.....
It would be much deserved if he went all the way.... :-)

I'm thinking Phillipe too. He looks fabulous, and he's been close before. I think he deserves to win.

Its Phillippe for me. He is definately a once in a lifetime dog and he so deserves the ultimate prize. Of course with Lisa and her sammy a member of ringcraft I hope she is in with a shout as well.
smile you are owned by a gsp!!

Would have loved a BMD to get through to BIS but not happen this year, maybe next year when we will be there with our boy!!!  LoL :-)

Depending on what happens in the Terrier and Hound in a bit, but I would vote for the Samoyed at mo, very nice looking dog, would have liked the pointer to have got through but did get one of the group placings so that made be pleased.

See what happens in the terrier and hound but at mo going for samoyed or Shinu inu (sp)!!
Loving you Mika, my boy 12/04/99 - 17/05/07 xx
Will never forget you my darling boy xx

I have a feeling it may be the Samoyed.

hope sammy does win it tonight she looks fantastic & i personally know her fantastic breeder of whom like me is also a cumbrian lass but on the night i feel it may be phillipe's night

The smiling sammy for me

I was watching the Samoyed and the owner/shower (not sure which) was saying that he is not a pleasure to live with, has terrible habits and is only quiet when he is in the ring.  Made me wonder if she was like some of the people on here hoping their breed is not BIS to prevent them being the next must have dog.
ali - with a staffy not a chow, but very cheeky!

She said that on here earlier, that the only time he was quiet he was in the ring, he barked ALL the time!!!!!

Am so chuffed for the Schnauzer.

The perfect decision for me also.  Philippe always rises to the occasion and Kevin is so calm.  The dog is once in a lifetime.  The Sammy was a very well deserved runner up.  Two great dogs.......Congratulations to them both.
By Polo (***) [gb] Date 09.03.08 21:14 GMT
Wow! I thought Phillippe too, but I quite liked the beagle for reserve. My mum thought the Sammy would do well.
:-) Eager to learn ( and help if I can) :-)
By AliceC (**) [gb] Date 09.03.08 21:28 GMT
Well I am so so pleased with that result...Phillipe thoroughly deserved his win, I'm really pleased that he won. For Mioni to come second to him is absolutely fantastic, I know Lisa and her breeder will be thrilled!

I doubt that Lisa was saying that she barks all the time at home to put people off, from what I've heard Mioni is a bit of a minx! And having shown her litter sister I can vouch that not only does she bark a lot at home, but in the ring as well! :-)
