Hi,
I would like to share this knowledge with you. My daughter who has been a midwife for 15years, has to go on study days to update with new methods and treatments.
As you probly know a baby under 2years of age can not control it's own temperature. If by giving the baby calpol, paracetamol, and the temperature does not drop.
You stip off to your skin, also strip baby off to his/her's and lay the baby on to your skin , as your body can control your temperature you absorbed the babies and in approx 2hours the temerature should drop.
With all the viruses about at the moment it may help.

That's a great tip, thanks for sharing. It's such a worry when a little one has temp problems. Isn't nature fascinating :-)

I could of done with knowing that when mine were young!!

Whilst both of my two are now over 2years it's certainly interesting reading.  My dd could not keep calpol (or similar) down & so it was a real battle to control her fevers as even things like tepid water would feel absolutely freezing to her body.
As someone has already posted, nature really is amazing!

Hi Maddog,

I agree, I wish I had known this when mine were babies. The worry and sleepless nights worring as the temp. would not come down and worring about them having a convulsion.
Nature is amazing probly we all look to far sometimes. I felt it may help, someone who reads champdogs, or there family.
There is so many nasty viruses out there at the moment and the little ones can not tell you how much there head aches with a temp.
