Advice please... Not great with technology. Want an ipod (shuffle) nothing to flashy or expensive. Just so i can listen to music at the gym & i like the idea of being able to download the latest songs. So... is it easy to do? what do i have to do to get it up and running. Am i able to download music for free to put on the ipod?
Any input appreciated. Thanks.
The more i experience men, the more i appreciate dogs.
It is easy to do, you need to install a progamme called iTunes on your computer, and it will automatically transfer the music you put on that to your iPod when you connect the iPod to the computer to charge it up. (No batteries, the computer charges it!) But you do need to pay for downloads -it's usually around 69 to 99 p per song, and there is a function in iTunes that takes you straight to their shop. Downloading for free is possible but illegal and people have been prosecuted for it. HOWEVER you can also take any CD you own and transfer the songs on that (or just some of them) into iTunes -that's easy!

itunes is the apple download and synch site. You get a disk with your ipod for When you first plug your ipod in your pc that takes you to itunes. From there you can download (not free but cheap) make playlists etc. Most free downloads are illegal unless you subscribe to a legit site that lets you download a certain limit. You can plug into your pc to charge up or buy a seperate 'dock'. Sometimes you will have to put the disc back in your pc to reset when probs occur. itunes updates regularly, you just click install
I would be lost without my Ipod ... I love it Have got 4 separate docks all over the house .. much to OH's annoyance
It's simple to use, just follow the instructions to install Itunes onto your PC and it's as easy as that, you'll wonder how you ever got by without one
I have an ipod nano and I wouldn't be without it. They are very easy to use, they come with a disc which sets up itunes on your computer. I've put all my cds onto mine and also buy songs and download podcasts from itunes, I haven't tried to download any free stuff, knowing my luck I'd get caught and get into trouble!
Just to say, I bought my daughter an iPod Nano for her birthday and they no longer come with a CD with iTunes on, they just give you the URL to download it from.
