Hi Nicole,

We have Siberian Huskies and, over the years, have had quite a few with blue eyes. We also run a welfare organisation, and again a proportion of the dogs coming through welfare have blue eyes. I have to say I have never experienced blue eyed dogs being attacked or hassled more than others. If anything, certainly in our breed, we have noticed that blue-eyed dogs (and bitches in particular) seem to be a bit more dominant than brown/yellow eyed dogs. This is only marginal though  and might just be coincidence.

It may be something to do with the old saying for horses, I know when I had mine we were always led to believe that you should never trust a horse wih a wall eye (blue eye). I was too young then to question it but remember it was drummed into me. I am sure it doesn't make one iota of difference to the temp of horses or dogs
A Golden is born half trained, a springer dies half trained. Where are my running shoes ???

Just thinking aloud here, but I wonder if it's something to do with the whites of the eyes not being so prominent in blue-eyed horses?

As I say, just thinking aloud!
Down to 20 rats today. RIP little Baz man :-(
