I am moving house at the end of the week, quite some distance away from where we live just now (about 100 miles) Any suggestions on how to settle my border collie in to our new home ? She does not like change much and is a creature of habit ! I am worried she will miss the dog walker and her doggie chums she sees at the moment every week day.

You could try a dap difuser as you would with a new pup, may make the first few nights in a strange place less stressful.

If your border collie doesn't sleep in the same room as you I would put a t-shirt you've recently worn in his bed to help reassure her.
Wagging tails are great, unlike wagging tongues

Once you moved over to the house. I'd keep your dog on a lead guide right round the house making sure your things are in the house so got all your smells. Then guide it to the area where your doing to let the dog sleep show it with it bedding maybe adding acouple of items of your into the bed as well till it is settled. Then unclick the lead let the dog have a good sniff around the place it maybe like a lost sheep for a while but it will settle down over a period.

I'd make your pet last to move not first so everything is over there for the dog to smell.

Your dog might also cry at night, due been a strange place, I just pop your head round to settle it back to bed and calm it down.

Good Luck with the move.
