Hi there, this is a bit of a long shot but when I was about 12 (25 years ago!) I lived in New Mills, High Peak, Derbyshire a few doors away from Carole Clitheroe. She and her husband Glyn bred Rough Collies and my sister and I used to spend most of our time round there (bet Mum and Dad thought it was great). We had a tricolour puppy from them called Pepsi - I can't remember her full kennel name but their affix (from memory) was something like Cloverbank. We moved South not long afterwards and didn't stay in touch - it's not until you get older that you become nostalgic, lol! Unfortunately Pepsi had to be PTS due to illness when she was 7 but that is a long story.
Anyway, I have mini schnauzers now but have fond memories of going round to Carole and Glyn's to "help out" and wondered whether anyone here knows of them. Are they still breeding as I couldn't find them on the breeders list? Just thinking about it they must be pensioners now! If anyone knows anything of them, please let me know.
Thank you.

Hi i haven't seen or heard them for a few years now.
At least someone has come back to me! Thanks Sal. I did find a few things on the net but they were dating back quite a long way. I found references to some of their dogs in pedigrees but they were quite a few generations back. I guess they have probably retired from showing and breeding now. Thanks again.

you're welcome. i'll try and find out a bit more 4 u if i can
Thanks Sal that would be great - when I knew them they lived on Godward Road in New Mills, Derbyshire. Do you have Rough Collies then? They are beautiful dogs but my bf at the time always called Pepsi "pencil sharpener nose"! He had to go!

Gosh looking at one of their dogs pedigrees brought back memories. My parents had Rough Collies many years ago and Rokeby is in one of their dogs pedigrees. Our last Rough Collie died of oesophageal cancer and he was my brothers dog. Certainly brought back many memories.
My dogs aren't my whole life, but my life wouldn't be whole without them. 05/01/08 11 stone 12 lbs
