Just feel a bit guilty as I didn't take my dog out for a 'decent' walk today!  She hates the rain , so when it was dry i did take her out but we were caught in a downpour and she hated it so made our way home after only 15 mins.

She normally has 2 or 3 short walks a day as she's only 6 months.  Will occasional days of no walks be a problem??  (This is the first time it's happened)

Don't worry yourself about it - the majority of dogs can cope with the odd missed day I think!

My lot have them - I have dobes, a rott mix and a very energetic lab X collie - and they cope.  I just make sure they're kept busy - bones to chew, games to play, that sort of thing.

They've only had 20 minutes today because of the rain and a computer problem that's kept me busy all flippin afternoon, and they've been switching between snoozing and chewing on bones.  No worries :-)
Down to 20 rats today. RIP little Baz man :-(

I have an old bag that could probably hold on for 24hrs if she so wished she hates the rain that much!! if we do get caught out in a downpour she finds the nearest bush/cover and point blank refuses to move..

She literally hides when the leads come out and its drizzling lol yet would act like sumo wrestler on fine days for a lead on!!

LOL I feel well guilty when I cant walk Mitz as well, so know what you mean!
Just have to make it up by playing loads indoors and playing mentally challenging games like hide and seek :-)

all of mine want to go out out what ever the weather - they dont care!

they do miss the odd day and they make us feel very bad as each time we go into the kitchen thay get all excited as if to say 'is it time now?'

min won't go out in the rain if she has to walk from the house to where she is going but if she goes in the car she is happy to romp about in the mud - weird!
ali - with a staffy not a chow, but very cheeky!

Have to laugh at mine, if its raining can't get them to go out in back for a wee but get their leads they get exited. I tell them its the same weather out the back and the front.

Mine are a bit like that too, filthy looks at me when they find it's wet in the back garden, but still whining in excitement if I put my shoes on! And yes, if it's really filthy weather mine miss a walk - not just drizzle, but a real downpour. That's the nice thing about my breeds, they love walks but are content to snooze on the sofa if there's no chance of one for a day. :-)
