Have finally lashed out and bought a cordless dremel and spent the afternoon playing!!  Both dogs have been really great about accepting it and have already allowed me to touch each nail for a nano second with the dremel on the lowest setting.  Anyway, my question is......I am using the sanding collet and there are numerous spare sandpaper sleeves in the kit, but how do you change a sleeve over????  (Have a look at www.DoberDawn.com to see the attachment I am using if unclear from my description!) Do you just cut the old one off and slide a new one on or am I missing something?  Needless to say, the book of words has no words of wisdom on this!  :-)

PS  Am not a DIY genius as you can probably guess so keep answers simple please!  :-)  Thank you.

The sanding collet fits onto a barrel and through this there is a screw which you can turn to loosen the collet which should then slide off.  Slide on a new collet and then turn the screw the opposite way to secure it :-)  There should be a tool in the pack to fit in the top of the screw to turn it ;-)  This is what mine is like but it is a B&D Wizard, don't know if the Dremel is identical ?

Hope this helps anyway :-)

I've recently bought a cordless pet dremel off ebay.  I couldn't even work out how the hell it went together, and had to ask a mate to ask a mate!!  However, the toys would only allow me to turn it on without running away, as long as I didn't go near them with it.  They wouldn't even let me touch a nail with it switched off.  So I was well pleased when I had a go on my eldest Beardie girl.  I just touched a few nails, not for long, but I'm convinced that she would have let me carry on longer.  She was so laid back about it, she didn't even lift her head to see what I was doing!
The hurrier I go - the behinder I get!

Spot on!  Thanks Dill.  :-)  Sounds like the Dremel & Wizard are pretty much the same.

Glad I'm not the only one who is challenged in this area of life!  :-)
