My sister texted me earlier, her water broke

Only 8 days overdue, I think little mini man has a hefty dose of genes from our lazy side of the family
A goof, an eejit, a fruitloop and a maniac. LIfe wouldn't be the same without them
Wehey, keep us posted!

Hope all goes well.
Forget Love, I'd Rather Fall In Chocolate!

ohhh good luck to her! let us know how it all goes, so exciting!!!
my impending nephew is apparently going to be bigger than his bro who was 9.5lbs. eek...
you are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars, you have a right to be here

OUch Astarte, i think id rather not know if i was expecting a large baby.
Hope the labours are as easy and stress free as possible.
.....and congratulations in advance
The more i experience men, the more i appreciate dogs.

My friend has just had her baby. The midwife said that she had to go for regular scans as the baby was quite small. 9lb 14 1/2 ozs small!!!!!!
The reason a dog has so many friends is that he wags his tail instead of his tongue.

That is how much my first child weighed, no diabetes in the family or anything. My second was just a bit lighter at 9lb 9oz.
Barbara and the Grey Curly Tails.

Congrats to your friend!!!!
Guess with everyone chatting about bigger babies, guess my mom had it easy with Michelle being 4lbs 8 oz, and me being 4 lbs 9 oz when born. She says the delivery was easy, but the raising of twins was the hard part!
When Life gives you oranges, make lemonade. Then sit back and watch the world wonder how you did it

My largest was 10st 14 1/2lbs, so glad there were never twins for me.

Good grief, tears to the eyes.

LOL....I have a size 8 (42) shoe so think I'm built for big babies....

Laughing even louder now:)

I did mean pounds and ounces!
Karen

Hadn't noticed that you had put stones. My eyes are still smarting from the pounds and ounces.

Oooh, big babies all round then!!
She had the wee man last night, 10lbs and 55 cm

Doing fine, although she lost 2 litres of blood through a difficult birth so they want to keep her in for at least 3 days.

Gosh Karen, how did you deliver a baby that size!!
My dogs aren't my whole life, but my life wouldn't be whole without them. 05/01/08 11 stone 12 lbs

great news...welcome to the world little man.
Karen

wow! chunky babies! i have heard that various studies have shown that the bigger a baby is at birth (unless they have diabetes or another problem) they tend to have a longer life compared to people who were smaller at birth, which is good for your pair

I have 4 children and two of them were over 10lb, tested for diabetes on each occasion but I appear to be fine, Hannah was 10lb 6oz the heaviest and the last!

ouch. i think i will make the sensible choice and skip kids all together and just have dogs. far less hassle all round... not pregnancy, no labour, will eat what their given, if your careful no probs with unsuitable boyfriends/girlfriends, don't need to worry about how their doing at school...generally far more practicle
