my friends young dog of 9 months has broken his claw vet has had to take whole claw off How long is the healing process and will he be ok to show once it,s all healed?

my dog had a broken claw and had to have it removed. she had a dressing on for 5 days then a check up but she was just fine just had to watch her that she didnt lick it, this was last november and the claw has grown back and looks back to normal.

Claws often grow back over a few weeks unless the nail bed has been seriously damaged.

A friends dog had to have the entire toe amputated after a claw injury and the dog was back to being sound in about a fortnight!  This was a show dog and no judge ever commented on it to my knowledge and I know for sure it didn't have an affect on his beautiful movement
