Has anyone bought anything over the internet from China.  Did you have problems getting it into the country, and did you have to pay any additional charges?

Thanks

Only off ebay, and it all went very smooth, paid by paypal. It did take a while to arrive, but I was warned that could happen so no probs there.

Have ordered through ebay with no probs, delivery up to 4 weeks but as little as 2!!from China,
Same from Japan through ebay and seperately from a japanese zippo site twice :-). No extra charges ( customs etc ) as they mark the item 'gift'
Some sellers give you delivery tracking details - very helpful

Well that makes me feel better, there's an ebay shop selling absolutely gorgeous and very unique clothing that I'm desperate to buy!! :-p
A goof, an eejit, a fruitloop and a maniac. LIfe wouldn't be the same without them :-)

I hope the 'gorgeous and unique clothing' wasn't produced by children working all hours for not a lot of money.  We should be boycotting goods, especially clothing, from China until they start treating their citizens better.  Sorry to bring a downer but it makes me so angry.

Mine took about 3 weeks I think, in total three different orders from 2 different sellers. Found both very friendly and helpful, emailed when they had posted and friendly response when I said it had arrived.

hi i paid for a nintendo ds about 2 weeks before christmas from a seller on ebay paid extra to have express delivery service unfortunately it got held in customs for over 2 weeks in january and i had to pay import charges of £35. having said this i have bought items before and had no problems at all, i think it depends what they put on the label as to whether it gets stopped in customs, this seller had put games console on label!
