im new to showing, and was planning on showing my boy once old enough, hes 5months now and a great looking dog already, was male pick of litter, and so far a good example of breed. however, hes been teething recently and upon checking him over tonight, ive noticed that one of his upper incisors sits a slight bit back from the rest of his teeth, not much but theyre def not straight. ive sent an emal to breeder asking her opinion, but just wondering if anyone here knows if this will affect him much in the ring?

I had the same worry with one of mine, showed the breeder and she said it was fine.

Perfectly normal :-)

My puppy has just started to loose her baby teeth now, she is 16 weeks old.

Yep same as us they have baby teeth and then permanent teeth.  Often we don't notice them changing as often they are swallowed.

Teething normally starts around 4 1/2 months (front ones go first) and then the final big back teeth won't be fully in until 9 months or so.

yeah, my mum is constantly on the look out for teeth if we have a pup as she likes to keep the teeth (same as she kept my sis and i's baby teeth) but its rare that you'll find one!

I didn't find one with any of mine, not even with my girl who had retained canines for several days after the adult ones came through!

I have loads of teeth from my two.... they obviously liked spitting them out on the carpet! Now that I look at them in their little boxes I cant believe that the babyteeth were so tiny compared with the enormous canines they have now :-D

wow, in all the years I've had dogs I didn't know that's what happened to the missing teeth, but as I say often enough, I'm a bit slow ;-) thought it was just my over excessive hoover habit :-D
