I used Royal Canin on my English Mastiff for seven years and all my Alaskan Malamutes until 1 month ago when i switched to BARF - just swapped  to try a natural diet.Ihad no problems with R.C and still use it as a back up feed.I used Giant baby dog then went on to use Puppy, junior and adult.Dogs did very well on it,and belonging to the breeder club had it delivered at a discount each month.

I could only get the junior also.  Ended up with my smallest litter ever in the breed!  Actually I think I've ended up with the smallest litter in the breed in this country to date!

If you have any agricultural stores/animal feed stores they should be able to order it in as well at no extra charge.

I got a 10kg bag of the starter thru my vet (£33.75), he had to order it and it took 2 days to come. The pups did well on it although Lily(bitch) didn't particulary like it, she stuck to her RC junior (think it was the pellet size of the starter that put her off).

I used to wean of RC but found the protein to high for my breed, several puppies has fast growth spurts and had to be dropped onto a lower protein food.  I only noticed the problems fro 8 weeks + - prior to that all was well.  I now wean on PP.

I use RC.....from before season arrives to 6 weeks post mating I feed the HT42D, then from 6 weeks and after whelping I feed the RC Starter, my last litter was the biggest we have had for a couple of years, not sure if it was the food or not, but my pups certainly did really well on their food.
