one of our rats died yesterday he was our favourite a lovely old gent. the kids were very upset and we had lots of crying, questions about heaven, how would he get there who would meet him, would rachels cat who died eat him? we reassured on all these points and started talking about burial in the garden and then my daughter who is 5 and learning about religion at school said where will we get a cross and I said dont worry Daddy will make one and then she said "but how will we pin his little hands to it? they are so tiny !!
