Hi my dog, lab 3 and a half.  Is yelping/squealing done it about 6 times today.

He is not constipated or has worms.

We have worked out it is his left side, top of  his leg when it is either touched or walking. But this is just occasionally not all the time.

But it is a the top of his leg about a hand width away from his tail. Could this be a pulled muscle, tendon, How do we treat it.

I have him confined at the moment, as friends are round and he is getting giddy, and seems to be making it worse.

He is eating, and i has been for a walk so I could see if he is walking ok. Which is fine.

Any ideas

Thanks

Could he have an obstruction?  Has he been to toilet OK?

yea I thought that.

I went out last night my baby/dog sitter took him for a walk for me. Apparently he tried to poo last night but didnt. Been up since 6 this morning with him. Keeping very close eye on him.

So I have put him on some wormers this morning, Took him for a very late 1st walk after lunch. Which he pooed no problem. a proper woody big one.

Actually I have changed his diet though. I normally get his food from a supplier, but he hasnt been able to supply me for a week or so. So i have had to buy from tesco off the shelf stuff.

Human drugs can have a totally different/dangerous effect on animals, only the Vet can advise.

Might be worth ringing and finding out what is safe to give him until an appointment can be made.
