Is it a good idea to move a dogs bed from where it would be in the day (in the kitchen) to where it would be while people were home (under stairs in an open plan lounge)??

I personally dont do this but i know people who do and they dont have any problems with it. :-)

Is it not an option to just have 2 beds, one in kitchen and one in lounge?
The more i experience men, the more i appreciate dogs.

My dog moves her bed from room to room depending where we are.  Often she plonks it in a doorway!

theres not a place i can put a bed in the kitchen that isnt really in the way. Just wasnt sure if moving his bed between 2 places might unsettle him a bit?
