Does anyone have a new model Renault Scenic (2003 onwards) and managed to find a dog guard to fit? Due to the side airbags normal ones are not suitable, so I think I'm looking for something that would fasten to the back of the rear headrests and then go at an angle up to where the rear hatch hinges.

The alternative would be a cage, but I'm having trouble finding one that will fit in, but is big enough to take a Flat coated retriever. I know there are places that will custom build to fit your car but I'm just going through the cheaper options first.

Have a look on ebay.  There are a couple of companies that do fold flat cages that are specifically shaped for cars.

Thanks I've seen some of the shaped ones but my hatch narrows a lot at the top and they are all just a little bit too deep. I will keep looking but i think it might be a case of having a cage made to fit .... or changing my car!
