My TS girl who went to Liverpool and was mated 3 weeks and 1 day ago seems to be off her food. I have seen her vomit (frothy ) once or twice this week and put this down to morning sickness. However unlike my others who love their grub she seems to have gone right off it. This is the 3rd day she has sat and guarded her food dish but not even smelt it. I roasted a chicken yesturday and apart from a nibble was not bothered. No other sign and symptoms except being a little grumpy with the others.
Should I be worried as I have not experienced his before?

It's quite normal for bitches to go off their food around this time, mine always do and don't seem to pick up until after the pups are born....it's a case of tempting them with whatever they will eat.

No other symptoms like drinking more than usual?

           My dog mated a bitch back in January that was exactly the same.... She stopped eating at three weeks in whelp and her owner spent the next six weeks back and forward to the vet for Vitamin B 12 injections. She was a nightmare who would pick at something one day and then the next day refuse to eat it. She tried her on every dog food going, eggs, rice pudding, minced steak, chicken you name it, she tried it....
The only real thing she could get down her was Esbilac milk which she drank lots ok...
As soon as the puppies were born hey ho, she started to eat again and now she has gallons of milk for them and they are thriving...

I wouldn't worry about her being off her food.  One of my bitches did this with her last litter.  I was worried sick throughout the pregancy and like some other people tried every type of dog food on the market - every type of human food also.  Could'nt get her to eat anything.  Only thing she wanted was tomatoes funnily enough.  Spoke to a lot of fellow breeders regarding this and they all advised me to let her eat what she wanted.  She did go on to delivering five big fat puppies and hardly lost any weight whatsoever.  Offer her anything - leave it for ten minutes and if she doesn't eat it take it away.  When she's ready she will eat something.  Don't worry about it though as you will really worry yourself sick.

is it ok to give my bitches tinned rice pudding as a treat/break from normal food or does it have to much sugar in it also is their anyhting else i can give my bitch that is pregnant that is good for her and has lots of goodness in it any help appreciated

One of our bitches didn't eat hardly anything for her last litter but she had a strong healthy litter and once born she got her appetite right back.

My wee girl was the same, went totally of her food and I was frantic thinking she would have skinny babies and be a bag of bones when they were born. She had 3 big healthy pups and looked super after delivery. I have no idea how she did it on so little food. She didnt eat much the first week they were born but was drinking welpi by the gallon. After that she got her appitite back and all was ok. She isnt a big eater at the best of times but as I say no idea were she got the reserves from to "grow" such healthy pups. Isnt nature wonderfull at times lol

my girl wouldnt eat either i have bought some frozen meat from pah i defrost it and pop it in the microwave for 30 seconds so the juices gather in the bowl and then mix in with her dry food and she has been eating it really well so far fingers crossed i have also started her on lactol as she isnt drinking as much water as i would like and she is getting abit dehydrated but she is drinking this fine it mite be worth a try for you it dosnt smell very tasty but she likes it

Something that works for my bitches when I feel the fluid intake isn't high enough.  I put evaporated milk in the water bowl - dilute roughly half and half.  Sometimes give it luke warm, they guzzle it down.  It's a good way to increase fluid intake, and the Vit D content is a bonus.

It has never caused my pregnant bitches any harm and I've fed it for years.  Especially when they get picky and won't eat.  I buy the full cream tinned, and make it milky for them.  By mixing evap in, diluted as above.
