hello everyone
well, i have to admit, i have got my first puppy (Jack, cross breed, Chuihuhua x yorkie) and i am OBSESSED!! he was 8 weeks yesterday, and we have taken him today, for his 1st injections.

He is soooooo tired and groggy!
I was wondering if this is normal?

He came to sleep on my lap, and i had to get up so i gently picked him up and he yelped so much!!! I thought i had really hurt him!! So no touching Jack for a while. I can see the tiredness in his eyes, i feel so guilty.....i dont know what i would do if anything happened.

Yes, this is quite a common reaction after their vaccines. Just mention it to the vet when you take him for his second.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it

LOL!
My Jack was just the same......must be a boy thing, our new little girl was the opposite, she shrugged it off and carried on, now that is a girl thing I think, (at least in human terms).
He did get over it and the second one was okay, she however hasn't had the second one yet, as she is still 10weeks old.

Mine where the same too.Sleep for ever and all you want to do as a new owner is play with them.LOL.Just like human babies they need lots of sleep when they are that young and it is normal for them to sleep after their injection.
1 Mal is never enough

Thats briliant everyone! its very comforting to have other peoples opinions!
He seems very stiff, and unsteady on his feet but he still has his appetite, and "dispatching" regularly on my fellas rug :-)
I love him sooooo much!!!!

Thanks every one!!
