.....to see if the last two baby canine teeth will drop out.

Rory (Irish Setter) is going to be 6 months old next Wednesday (22nd) he has all his adult teeth and a lovely scissor bite, but his top baby canines are still sitting alongside his new ones. They are only slightly loose, so at what stage should I ask the vet to whip em out?

By what age are they considered to be, retained?

Have you tried wiggling them? Ellie had retained canines at that age and I gave her lots of hard chew toys and snacks and tried to wiggle them a couple of times a day, and they just suddenly fell out!

Caoimhe had one of these when she was 6 months and I think when I looked around it seemed like 7 months was the time to start worrying. However, I went and bought some meaty knuckle bones - the retained tooth was out that same week. If they're already loose a day with a knuckle bone might just get them out.

Our boy in Quarantine was 6 months and I risked getting him some bones, and they were gone in a few days.
