Do any of you give your bitches any supplements  pre mating or post mating  up to  whelping?.be interested to know.

I give Folic Acid for up to 6 weeks before their seasons are due - supposed to help prevent cleft palate (if being mated) and continue for 4 weeks post mating.  I also give wheatgerm oil from mating till 3 weeks post mating - supposed to help with fertility.  Not sure if it acutally does anything, but it's something I was told when I first started breeding and have done it ever since.

Nothing just a good healthy diet with plenty exercise.

Lana's on her wheatgerm and only just found out that you should do the male just before they mate also and double the dose the day before the mating and the day after etc. so will have to sort that out.

Fingers crossed that something develops this time!

I give vit E just before mating & all though pregnancey with good results so far.

I gave fit and fertile pre-mating and post did wonders for the coat .
