Hello was there watching, the weather was glorious, until group judging when it started to rain a bit. The ground was dry. Drove back through some torrential rain though!

Well done Margaret and Barry on Anita's res. CC.

We had a nice day today, Ruby won a huge Post Grad bitch class of 25.  Her first time up with the bigger girls too.
Certainly made the long drive home seem a bit quicker!!

Well done all those who had a good day!

Well I want to brag for my friend Vanhalla, her boy raider won the CC and BOB.  At Three counties on Thursday he was also BOB (without CC's) but was also third in the Hound Group.

Thank you Brainless and Nova!  He has been doing pretty well lately - the Group placing was a real thrill.  Although I didn't win any antlers this time Nova ;-)  The "special trophies" must only be available at HCEA!
Hard to believe that he will be in Veteran from January next year.  Where did the time go?
I love Border Union show.  Such a picturesque showground, and a really nice atmosphere.

They are amazing aren't they; it does make you realize how brave our breed must be to face something of that size.

One thing though, where will you keep them not the sort of thing you can stick on the mantelshelf.

EXCELLENT, that was a great first show then! My boy won minor pup dog again, 3rd show, 3rd win!!!!!!! and my girl won 3rd in limit and got her stud book number at last so it was most definately worth getting up at 3am and the 5 hour journey!!!

Congratulations to everyone who did well :-)  Unfortunately my breed lost CCs there a few years back now which is such a shame as it was always a show I enjoyed and we used to camp for the duration with friends who came from a long way south.  Too far to travel (get sick on the winding roads LOL) just for an AV class!

Why bite when a simple growl will do ;-)

Tell me about it - those winding roads are horrible.
2 of the dogs were sick only about 5 mins from the showground (typical!) and I was so relieved to get out of the car as I was feeling far from good myself!!

thank you ladies i was lucky enough that the junior class was held up for a few minutes for me while i ran from the car park to find the ring as we had taken a wrong turn off a roundabout on the motorway so had to take the scenic route,i was resigned to the fact i was going to miss 1 or both of his classes, the judge had already gone over the other 6 dogs so i was straight in the ring to my turn, it was a very proud day as he is from my 1st litter and his litter brother who the stud owners kept was in the same class and they came away with 1st & 2nd so doubly proud of both boys :-)

as for the windy roads my daughter was starting to feel a bit ill in the car and as soon as it stopped she had to get out quick and was sick my friend told me just to run and find the ring and she would look after her, as you can see we had some day !but it was well worth it :-) lol
