We had our Airedale club open show today.  It was only our 3rd show.  Our puppy (9 months old this week) got a 1st in special beginners, a 1st in puppy bitch, then got best puppy in show!  We beat her brother (still owned by their breeder) to best puppy.  Probably not good form to beat your dog's breeder!!  No, they have been a great support and were really pleased for us.  Another of their litter was there to enter the companion dog part of the show, so it was a real family reunion.

Thanks all!  I'm really proud of her.  She seems to love showing (read she's a huge show off) so I think that plays a big part in making us both feel relaxed.

Fantastic!! And now you can start teasing the breeder! Henry beat his litter sister which the breeder had kept at their first ever show, and has vastly outperformed her except for one single time that she beat him. Over the years I and many other of our friends have had great fun teasing her lightheartedly about selling the best dog she ever bred!
