I always use Drontal and Frontline, but as Im 'laid up' The other half has been in charge of shopping (Hmmmm nothing but pot noodles and beans in the cupboards!!??) and he's pitched up with Advocate made by Bayer...... Any good??
Running the 'Idita-choc' Sled race with Lori!..The ORIGINAL Snow Buddies.

I have used it on my SBT, but not for fleas etc. It was used for mange (works apparently for fleas too!). Had no nasty side effects and my girl is v. sensitive! Hope that's some help.
I used it for the first time this month. Decided to switch from Frontline after one of my dogs ended up with a tick stuck on the bridge of his nose and my other dog with fleas only 3 weeks after being Frontlined. I liked the fact that Advocate actually repels fleas and ticks - not just kills them after they bite.
Much more effective than frontline. Have been using it for two years now.
It does roundworm and fleas which is useful, but doesn't do ticks, which is a pain as they are really bad at the moment. Cairnmania - i think you are thinking of advantix, which repels ticks.
You're right, I was thinking of Advantix.
