I've decided that i can't afford to go all around the country attending shows, i have done Malvern twice this year and with fuel prices still climbing i don't think i'll be going back next year. Think i'll be sticking to the more local shows in the south east, so spending more time at open shows.
For me the entry fee for 1 dog isn't breaking the bank but putting the fuel costs on top as well means i can't afford to travel.
With the way things are i'm not sure i'm going to attend another champ show until the end of the year, which is a shame.
I understand what someone said about the same dogs taking the CC's if there were more shows giving them out, but we do need to keep them going for the breeds that still have them or we will loose them for the declining entries.
If we do this then those who aren't travelling now won't if they remain regional, though there will be less competition and you'll be against the same dogs again and again, i like seeing different competition out in the ring.
RIP Bentley - such a wonderful dog to live with, never forgotten.
