We've had Hugo home for almost a week now, and everything's going brilliantly. He's extremely lively, eats like a horse and seems really happy to be here. The only thing thats worrying me is that his nose always seems to feel quite hot. Is this anything to worry about? He certainly doesn't appear unwell in any way.

Hi Michele

If you put something very smelly that he is likely to salivate over in front of him does his nose go colder and wetter then? I think their noses seem to get wet when they are sniffing (or drinking). If it doesn't then I would get your vet to check him over

To say dogs always have cold noses is not true at all, they are often warm & dry. would not worry unless your pup seems unwell. Ja:)kie
