Hi
wonder if anyone could point me in the right direction for a friend.
He's looking to buy a cocker spaniel in about 3-4 months time and I was wondering what health issues he should be looking out for when approaching breeders.
thanks in advance

I don't blame you my mum and dads youngest boy is Lynwater bred and he is IMO a lovely boy.

Yes I saw some at crufts and as mine is from Bitcon I want a really different line.

MMM are you sure its not just the fact your comparing the working side of Bitcon with show from Lynwater? They have used each others dogs in the past.

We haven't got any Lynwater in his pedigree its Classicways, Hellebors, Lindridge, Charbonnels. Im sad i have a laminated pedigree here in my office. Do you mean some could be working rather than show types which Wistler is. i am a complete novice but they were lovely dogs.
His posh ancestors are: Sh CH Dearnewood Star Venture, Shanaz Short List, Lindridge Gypsey Gierl, Dearnewood Star Venture, Bitcon Moonlight & Troubador (Sure this dog had a bike) Lindridge Salute & Ch Okell Outward Bound. I tell a lie he does have Lynwater Islesman there.

LOL yes Troubador was a well used stud dog. Sorry it was my misunderstanding I thought Whistler came form more working side of things.

Beautiful collie picture you have, we have a black & white too with one blue eye. I really wanted a spaniel so my OH had one each, I had no real interest in a collie but i have fallen in love with Jake he is so clever and kindly with kids. A bit fixated with sticks when we walk, but the funniest thing is my OH takes him on site, and he is always off with (OH) him, but if he leaves him to go up to London (as today I have them both) or if its too hot, when OH gets back Jake will not even get out of Whistlers bed to say hello he blanks him.
Yesterday I went off with Jake's dog lead so OH drove back and when Jake got out of the car in pouring rain he would not come indoors but sat in the rain until OH got his coat on and walked him. Jake sulks!! Whistler just loves every one, but Jake definatley sulks if he is left.
Bitcon Troubador is in 5 of my girls lines too, he certainly got around a bit didn't he....lol.
