My 4 month puppy Ziggy silently emits smelly odours, (also known as farting!!!) it's sooooooooo embarassing when there are guests around, especially as he looks innocent and we get funny looks!!! :-) What can I do about it? Has anyone experienced the same??? Is it a problem with food? He is solely on a complete dry puppy mix (Eukanuba). Do you think he is ill???
Thanks

No, I dont think he is ill, just a windy dog. A change of diet may have some result, and charcoal biscuits are said to help with the problem.
However, there is a good side to this......at least he is getting rid of it and not storing it inside, which could contribute to him bloating.

Yes CG :-)
As Lynn Mentioned :p , I have a 18 week old Boxer Pup and she can clear rooms! :D She is not very silent either
Sometimes its enough to make you feel quite queasy :-( She has got worse since I changed her food, she was bad enough before. My youngest son Callum actually threw up all over the kitchen floor one day. He was eating his frosties and Ruby let one go, poor lad went quite green :D

If you find anything that works please let me know, otherwise it will be "cute Boxer pup free to well ventilated home" :D

I had to change Hudson from JW complete and onto Wafcol before he stopped this delightful habit :D

He was so bad I sometimes wondered if the houseplants would live!!

Ran out of Wafcol yesterday and the delivery isnt until later today so he has been on Pedigree Complete for 2 meals ...OH BOY! We are back to reeking the house out again

:D Roll on 4pm

LOL Melody and Ali,

I remember my Boxer fudge and her lovely odour well. We used to laugh as we were sure when we looked at her face she had a look that said " yes that was me" lol

Actually it can be quite funny!! :D Ruby occassionally does very loud whoopee cushion type ones and it frightens her :D
Have you ever seen a dog try to run away from its own bottom before :D
Very amusing :D :D :D :D

Hi Cuteygirl Don't worry Zachariah gets this problem but he knows to run when the offence is committed out come's the nutradol /spray which is fantastic and then he gets
the dog body perfume spray .

LOL several of my dogs emitted poison odors before they started on BARF they have become much less windy on barf now.

This is bad news for my hubby who can no longer blame his wind on whichever dog is most conveniently situated next to him ROFLOL

Striking a match can negate the smell -

Changing diet can prevent it - some foods are worse than others and experimentation can be called for.

Striking a match can negate the smell

But NOT near the offending bottom PLEASE!

Imagine a jet propelled mutt .........

Strike a match , blow it out and wave it around ...that will negate the smell ;-)

funny you should mention that, because my little westie ALFIE would have the same problem on the occassions when i was allowed on the bus, the bus being a small single decker hopper bus, so its prety obvious where the smell is comming from. If I could'nt be bothered to get off the bus, I would give the dog to my children and distance myself from them. they never minded as children see the funny side. I never found out the reason but it always seeemed to be on that small bus

Just thought you might like to know that it smells for the benefit of those who didn't hear it.
