Was just wondering if there is a button or arrow  to press to tell who someone is replying to?
I often see someone answering a question,but can't tell who they are answering,so don't understand the reply properly, without trawling back and reading every post again.

That's a good question. As well as the indentation system there used also to be little arrows on the right of each post that would take you to the post which was being replied to. With both those systems gone it's very confusing, especially if people don't quote the poster they're replying to.

When you reply you should see "" at the bottom of the original post if you highlight the bit you are replying & press this you'll see the arrow you are referring too e.g

I'm not sure i explained properly.

I know how to quote and link,but was wondering if there was something that shows who a person is replying to.
EG when they don't copy and paste the question they are answering.
Sometimes a thread has like 100 posts and there's an argument going on with people replying left right and centre but not quoting who they are replying to.
I'm sure i read somewhere that there is an option,or if you hover over something it shows the poster they are replying to.eg who's post they clicked on to reply.

Yes, but that doesn't help the people who are just reading the thread and want to know which reply is to which post. I know I'm replying to your post, Gembo (there are the quote marks at the bottom of the reply box) but that doesn't show up on the actual post for others to see.

There used to be, yes. But when the forum changed a few months ago that was one of the options that seems to have vanished. Shame, because it was very useful.
