My son brought me a bag of this home tonight from PAH as he said it was on offer, its not a food that i know much about as normaly use AG....Bless him.

Anybody use this food and what are your thoughts on it.

Hiya - I am by no means an expert, but I gather (from trying to feed it to my dog as a pup for a while) that Eukanuba is 1) full of synthetic fillers and 2) is manufactured by a group low on ethics.  I'm sure someone else can tell you more!

My dog never liked it anyway so i can't comment on how well your dogs will do on it, but in short, even as a member of Joe Public I wouldn't recommend it.

I haven't used this variety but I have used Eukanuba in the past and found it very good.  (All that stuff put out by Peta etc is very old news and long disputed).  My only feeling was it was expensive comparing to equally useful foods and this variety looks a bit gimicky to me.  If it is on offer it may be worth a try but you might find it too expensive when the price goes up and then you are swopping back again.

Yes Isabel your right it is normaly expensive £30 a bag for 7.5kg...but on offer for £20.
AG is much better value.
We have to see how my girls get on with it....thats the most important bit.

Isabel, what would you recommend?  I ask as my two have been on Eukanuba for a few years now, without any problems, apart from the price.  I tried to change to another brand a couple of months ago, with bad results (dogs started pooing through the night! ) So changed back (pooing stopped straight away) managed to get a few bags on offer, but would prefer something not quite so expensive .
Although would much rather have expensive dog food and no poo to clear up in the morning!

Mine have all done well on Beta but really if they have a sensitive digestion it is going to be a matter of trial and error.  If I ever had one that did not suit Beta I have always thought I would give the Chappie dry a go as the tinned has done well for us in the past.
I presume you know to change over very gradually over a week or two.

Yes, I did change over to the new food gradually, although changing back to the old food I did it in a couple of days.

Eukanuba is a top grade, quality food made with natural ingredients. I know people who work at the factory in Ohio and they say that the ingredients are fresh and would be fit for human consumption.

You obviously have some sort of grudge against this company for personal reasons, but for my money, Eukanuba has provided super coats and excellent health for my dogs. I can definitely tell the difference.
