I have a very handsome golden retriever puppy of 24 weeks He was bred by a reputable breeder and his parents have sound pedigree's and good hip scores
I have noticed in the last few weeks that when I place a hand in front of his tail above his hips, and he moves I can feel clicks - in fact if I push down lightly, it is audible He hasnt been over exercised or allowed to use stairs etc He is in no discomfort and does'nt limp
Am I worrying unduly - is this normal for a pup of this breed - are these the symptoms of possible hip displacia and future problems

I think you are worrying unduly, ring and have a chat with your breeder I'm sure he or she will be able to put your mind at rest,

I had a golden that made the same noise and her hip score was 9.
