Have just read the posting re the cocker spaniel - our minature poodle pup (or crate training relapse fame) has more beans than we know what to do with so we have started to walk her with the 13yr old border collie cross - 30 mins morning and evening - is this too much?

your puppy is only 3 months old? 30 minutes is far too long your puppy is growing & the growth plates in the legs can be damaged by so mich walking

to exercise her you should play with her

Poodle are very smart & you should be able to teach her a play retrieve you throw the toy & she brings it back When she gets tired she will stop playing & then you must let her rest

My 8 month old is lead trained but never been for a walk yet He gets all his exercise in the garden with my other dogs
