Hi, im enquiring for a friend about foxhounds as pets. she absolutely loves the breed from the limited info she has on them. she grew up with beagles and hamiltonstovare but really wants a foxhound that she can eventually go on to show. she 100% wants a puppy and she knows they are damn hard work but just wondered if anyone can give their thoughts and experiences on what they are like to live with, day to day.
also if anyone knows any breeders can they point her in the right direction. I see there are two listed on here which i will pass on to her-but two is not many at all is it!!!

The two listed on here are two of only three people in the UK that breed Foxhounds for the show ring.  If your friend is used to Hamiltons, tell her to think of what they're like to live with - then multiply all the naughty bits by ten and she'll have a Foxhound:)

do they have any recommended health tests? ive looked on kc site for her but foxhounds arent on the list-does that mean they dont need any?

There aren't any recommended health tests but if any of the exhibitors/breeders are doing health tests of any sorts then I applaud them.  One never knows what's there until you look
