My soul mate lost his fight for life last week and we had to have him pts.  George was 17 and for the last year battled with oral melanoma.  Eveywhere I look reminds me of George but the raw pain is now a heavy heart.  The tears of laughter I shared with him are now tears of sorrow but I will shed tears of laughter again when I can look back at all his years and remember.

I'm so sorry. A great age but what sadness to have to part after so long. :-(

So sorry to hear about the loss of George with such a bad disease. However, you must have a lot of memories with having him such a long time, try to think about the fact that he now is not suffering from cancer but running free without any more discomfort. Such a great age, such a big loss.
The reason a dog has so many friends is that he wags his tail instead of his tongue.
