im looking for a white toy poodle,i was looking at a parti toy and the lady is asking £900 for her and she has been health tested and is all ok.she is in wales and will take me 5 hours to get to her which i do not mind at all but i was wondering if 900 is actually the going rate for a parti poodle, its actually the white poodle im after,i have looked at all other colours but for love nor money i cannot find a white.so i looked at her and fell in love.some say the parti is not recognised and unacceptable as a breed and shouldnt be registered some say they are up and coming.im confused.i have been looking at getting another dog for about a year now ive been through looking at the different breeds i like viewing parents to be and litters, but although all puppies are adorable nothing has jumped out at me like the toy poodle.it was a toss up between the cocker spaniel(black and tan)or the toy poodle(white)
does anyone know of a litter or a litter expected soon.i will wait for the right puppy ive waited this long i just like pups in the summer they are easier to wee wee train lol.
so can anyone help?

Look at searching on the 26/8/08 under ' poodle wanted '- there is advice there .
The Poodle Council site will show you your nearest poodle club - they will be able to help you find a pup .
Also ukpoodles. com  have a list of poodles for sale .

Wait for your perfect pup - don't buy in a hurry or you  and your wallet may regret it .

Parti-coloured poodles are mismarks that occasionally turn up in litters, and are usually sold (by reputable breeders) at a lower price than a solid-coloured ones.

There are, however, 'greeders' who try to convince buyers that they're 'rare' and therefore more expensive. Don't fall for it! If you really want a white poodle your best bet is to go on a breeder's waiting list. Don't be tempted to buy a puppy you don't really want, especially for a 'sucker's' price. Your dream puppy will arrive if you're prepared to wait for it.

Contact the Breed Clubs (scroll down to the bottom of the page) and explain to them what you're looking for, and you'll be given the best of help.

I totally agree with Jeangenie parti coloured poodles were originally known as miss marked and sold cheaper than the solid colours. I have 2 toy poodles that are dark apricot in colour one born october 2004 cost me £600.00 and the other born June 2006 cost £750.00 so as you can see the breeder put the prices up considerably in the 21 month gap between them. The lady that bred them lives in Shaftesbury in Dorset and breeds white poodles as well as other colours the dark apricot is a result of breeding a white poodle with a red poodle. I found this breeder through the Kennel club.

Have you been keeping an eye on the lists.  Unfortunately they do not always indicate the colours they have though but at least one breeder on the current list states they have a white litter.

i love the parti colour poodles but i think that it is alot to may for a mismarked puppy,
but there are more and more of them coming each month including the black and tan ones.
when i was looking for a stud for my girl the lady i spoke too said her boys has often had black and tan and if i was to have one that colour i should charge and extra £100
but i chose against him in the end for that reason.

I've pm'd you.

Partis/ mismarked has always been "rarer" and many charge a premiumum price, but as a specialist "coloured" breeder of toy poodles. I say they cost the same to feed, groom and care for as  any other colour of poodle.

Also remember that although the may be kc registered, partis etc are not encouraged by poodle council or many reputable breeders.Myself included!!!

Partis have always turned up in litters occasionally, but in the past they were frequently culled at birth or, if raised, sold at a reduced price because of the fault.

Of course since the KC reviewed its Code of ethics, breeders are no longer allowed to cull pups for this reason, so there is a greater chance of them being available.
