Can anyone tell me where I can get hold of a hard plastic paddling pool for my 2 Dogue De Bordeaux to play in? I have seen them on television, but the only type I can find are the inflatable ones and the rigid edged ones with the canvas bottoms? I did wonder if I could use a plastic sandpit, but wasn't sure if they would be water tight?
We use a childs plastic sand/paddling pool for our labs to play in. It came in two halves and is shell shaped. I think we got it from Argos

I was looking at these just a couple of days ago! Toys'R'Us have a selection of hard plastic paddling pool/sand pits, from £16.99 to about £50.

We went to a place which deals in fish (live for outdoor ponds) and bought one of their storage/display tanks. It is made from very heavy duty plastic, and is about 3 foot by 2 foot and 9 inches deep. Price varies depending on whether you buy used or new, but our one scrubbed up well. Although smaller than the average childs playpool, our malamute loves it and has not so far managed to dent it! As it is originally for industrial (?) use it is very sturdy. We empty and refill it every other day. He loves paddling in the old water as it soaks into the ground, and stands/lies in the new water as well as using it as a huge water bowl.
Thanks very much guys!!!!! I went today to Toys R Us and bought a huge plastic apple shaped paddling pool/sandpit. And they boys love it!!!! Red my Dogue De Bordeaux has been leaping in and out of it all day!!! He is now sitting in it with all of his chews, squeakies, and balls floating around him! What value for £20.00!
