Has anyone tried raw chicken wings with a dog with Colitis, someone suggested that I add them to Floyd's diet, but I am not experience with raw food diets.
Thanks for any help.
Colitis is a condition not a disease, and many dogs get colitis from eating foods that they are not designed to digest eg processed grains.
So try them,

I agree with Tohme regarding many dogs getting colitis from eating certain foods. Regarding the chicken wings, what else is your dog being fed? The wings as such shouldn't cause problems but in what context would you be feeding them? What was the thinking behind adding them to his diet?

Hi,
I agree one Golden is not enough, we have a couple!
Floyd is being fed on Burns Duck and Rice, four small meals a day. It was suggested to replace one of his meals with the raw chicken wings to see if would help his condition.

My initial feelings would be to get rid of any grain in his diet. Have you considered a more natural, raw diet? Has he been allergy tested at all?

No he has not been allergy tested. Have today started to use Nature Diet for him, so only very little grain, will see how it goes. Fingers crossed.

hi, how is the change of diet going?

Hi Tried the Nature Diet, Fish, we had a terrible upset tummy after only a couple of spoonfuls. Have taken him off the Hills ID and for the past week he has been on Royal Canin Sensitivity - so far so good.
