If it's going to be a hot day I walk them earlier and feed when I get back, although it's warm they are still more likely to be hungry
after exercise. I'm finding that they'll eat about 2/3rds of their usual portion for this meal as they are generally less interested in food during the summer. I also feed their evening meal later than usual.
If I'm concerned about the quantities I might offer something extra at night but they seem to be self regulating well enough, presumably loafing about doesn't require too many calories

You could try a 'midnight feast' with your pup...
Great weather though isn't it? My boys are alternating between sunbathing and flopping onto the cool tiles. All fleeces have been pushed out of bed in favour of hard surfaces!
