My sister and her husband, both retired, are looking for a Cavalier KC spaniel bitch puppy. They would prefer a tri colour, and are looking for a reputable breeder in Scotland. Would be willing to travel. The pup would be a family pet only, and all they ask is that health checks have been carried out.

hiya jean, their best bet would be to contact the breed club. they should be able to direct them to a breeder who meets all the clubs code of ethics. cavs can have some health issues so have a wee look at the thread at the top of the board about health screening for what cav buyers need to look for.
hth and best of luck to them getting a puppy

you are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars, you have a right to be here
Thanks for replying I have passed on the information to her. I think she has contacted some club but not sure if it's that one. I know she has been looking at the kennel club site,so fingers crossed she will find one soon.
Cheers,
Jean

make sure its actually a breed club, there are all manner of dodgy registrys out there and cavs alas are a pretty abused breed

there are a few cav folk on here so hopefully you'll get some good advice

There's a list of breed clubs at the bottom of the
breed standard, and includes the *SCOTTISH CAVALIER KING CHARLES SPANIEL CLUB. Sec. Mrs L Gow. Tel No: 0131 3392503

jean genie,I think that is maybe the number she called, but they didnt have news of any litters due. One of the breeders she called had none but told her to call back in 2 weeks and she may have news of a litter for her. Thanks for your replies
